Charlie Daniels is opening up about his life and career in his new memoir, Never Look at the Empty Seats, due out October 24. In the new book, fans will learn about Daniels’ rise from his post-Depression era childhood to becoming a Grammy winner and Country Music Hall of Fame inductee by focusing on the positives in life.

The “Devil Went Down To Georgia” singer’s career has spanned an incredible 60 years, and inside the memoir he shares stories, reflections, and rare personal photos plus offers advice to up-and-comers seeking a career in the music business.

Plenty of country songs have been inspired by heartbreak, love lost, divorce and failed relationships — but it’s unlikely you’ll hear Brett Young singing that sort of country song. In a recent interview the rising singer-songwriter said his parents’ happy, 37-year marriage has influenced his songwriting.

In February, Young released his self-titled debut album; he describes the project as “[filled with] a lot of love and a lot of hurt.”

Young will be out on the road with Lady Antebellum, serving as an opening act for their You Look Good World Tour.

The Mavericks have released a brand-new single off of their upcoming album, Brand New Day.

“Damned (If You Do)” is lead by band member Raul Malo’s vocals, sung over a Latin-inspired, horn-heavy melody. In the song, Malo sings of the pull between what the heart wants and what the mind says is right.

Brand New Day will be the first studio album to be released on the Mavericks’ own record label, Mono Mundo Recordings.

Jason Aldean has begun work on his eighth studio album.

Aldean released his last album, They Don’t Know, in September of 2016, just six months ago.

A No. 1 album, Aldean’s They Don’t Know has spawned two No. 1 singles so far: “Lights Come On” and “A Little More Summertime.” Aldean’s current single from the disc, “Any Ol’ Barstool,” is in the Top 10 now.

Frankie Ballard is a married man! The singer has tied the knot with Christina Murphy.

In January, Ballard released “You’ll Accomp’ny Me” as the latest single from his album El Rio, released in 2014. The song was originally a Top 20 hit on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100 (No. 14) for Bob Seger.

Trace Adkins’ 12th studio album, Something’s Going On is scheduled for release on March 31.The record includes Adkins’ previous singles “Jesus and Jones” (released in late 2015) and “Lit” (released in the summer of 2016), as well as his current single, “Watered Down.”

Zac Brown Band have released another one of the new songs from their forthcoming album Welcome Home.

“Real Thing” is the second song that Zac Brown Band fans have gotten to hear from Welcome Home; the band released the album’s first single, “My Old Man,” in early February.

May 12, the Zac Brown Band will begin their 2017 Welcome Home Tour, in their hometown of Atlanta, Georgia.
