Reba McEntire has a new song "Enough," a duet with Jennifer Nettles. The song cuts to the core, unveiling the pain of two women in love with the same man. The lyrics are almost unsettlingly honest: "He tells me he's working late," sings McEntire. "He tells me that he can't stay too long," Nettles croons, with both women joining together on, "So I turn the lights off." They trade off lines again with, "I fall asleep before he's home / Tomorrow I'll wake up alone. Brantley Gilbert is mostly known for his country party anthems, but the singer says that it's some of his more meaty songs that mean the most to fans. Gilbert came into mainstream country with his song 'Country Must Be Country Wide,' & 'Bottoms Up' was a huge success in 2014, but his latest single, 'One Hell of an Amen,' is a ballad that goes a little deeper than many of his previous songs. BOBíS WEEKLY BLOG 11TH DECEMBER 2014 Posted: Thu 11th Dec 2014 - 13:12

Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles has announced she will star as Roxie Hart in Broadway's Chicago from February 2, 2015 through March 29th. Nettles eight week engagement on Broadway follows the release of her first solo album, That Girl.

Congratulations to Jason Aldean! The singer's latest album, 'Old Boots, New Dirt', has been certified platinum, making Aldean only the third artist to have a record reach that status in 2014. With over a million copies sold, 'Old Boots, New Dirt' is the only country album to hit platinum sales status this year.

Taylor Swift also celebrated the milestone this year with her pop release, '1989.'

Gloriana's latest single is the fiery "Trouble," which was written by the band's Rachel Reinert and inspired by a bad relationship that Rachel endured. There was a guy in her life and the rumours started swirling about him cheating on her and Rachel was able to find out for herself that the rumours were, in fact, true. Needless to say, they did not live happily ever after. Check out the lyric video for the song, which appears on the trio's forthcoming third album.

Jake Owen has traded in his long, dark hair for a shorter buzz. It might take some getting used to, even though he did keep his winter scruff of beard.

Reba and Brooks & Dunn become the latest country acts to enjoy a residency at Caesars Palace. Shania Twain is currently wrapping up her two year residency show, Shania: Still the One, this month.

Florida Georgia Line have revealed that they are working with another well known duo. Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley will collaborate with Benji and Joel Madden, formerly of pop punk band Good Charlotte and now known as the Madden Brothers, for a brand new project. The Madden Brothers recently released their own single as a duo, 'We Are Done,' which was included on their first studio album as a duo, 'Greetings From California.'

Hunter Hayes recently earned a Grammy nomination for Best Country Solo Performance, for his single 'Invisible.' The artist co-wrote the song, which was the debut single from his 'Storyline' album, in response to his own experiences with bullying while in school, which he says makes the recognition that much sweeter.

BOBíS WEEKLY BLOG 4TH DECEMBER 2014 Posted: Thu 4th Dec 2014 - 13:12

Jana Kramer celebrated her 31st birthday on Dec. 2, and it will certainly be a day she'll remember. The actress / singer's boyfriend, football player Michael Caussin, proposed, and the couple is now engaged to be married. Kramer and Caussin, who began dating earlier this year, celebrated her birthday all day, but the highlight of the festivities came when he popped the question in front of a small group of Kramer's family and friends.  Recently on the chart with "Love".

Reba McEntire, Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn are joining forces for a Las Vegas residency. 'Reba, Brooks & Dunn: Together in Vegas' will debut in late June at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace. These will be the first shows Brooks and Dunn have played together since they retired from performing as a duo in 2010.

Nashville's Schermerhorn Symphony Centre was filled to the brim with country stars for the 2014 CMT Artists of the Year ceremony Dec. 2. It was an especially memorable event, as Merle Haggard received the first-ever Artist of a Lifetime Award and was honoured by many country favourites throughout the evening.

In case you haven't noticed, country music's biggest smashes are lately concerned with just one thing: getting smashed.  Recent hit singles include Jerrod Neimann's Drink to That All Night, Little Big Town's Day Drinking, Dierks Bentley's Drunk On A Plane, Toby Keith's Drunk Americans, Lee Brice's Drinking Class, Brantley Gilbert's Bottoms Up, Frankie Ballard's Sunshine and Whiskey, Cole Swindell's Ain't Worth The Whiskey, and Lady Antebellum's Bartender - and those are just songs that reference drinking in the title.  With the party season hotting up, expect to see more drinking songs come out.

Country duo LoCash Cowboys have signed a new record deal. The news comes at an exciting time for Chris Lucas and Preston Brust, who have been touring heavily over the past several months and building momentum. In addition to their new music in the works, Chris and Preston have dropped the last part of their long time moniker and will be going simply by LoCash on the new recordings.

Country singer Craig Campbell is kicking off December in a big way, with the announcement of a new recording deal with Red Bow Records, a division of Broken Bow.

Keith Urban can add another No. 1 song to his list of things to be grateful for this holiday season. His latest single, "Somewhere in My Car," topped the Billboard country chart marking his 15th No. 1 single on Billboard's chart. The idea for the song, which Urban co-wrote with J.T. Harding, was actually born in Urban's car. Urban is currently in Europe with his wife, Nicole Kidman, while she finishes filming a new movie.

Carrie Underwood's 'Greatest Hits: Decade #1′ is still a few weeks off, but the singer is spilling the details of another one of the new songs, 'Little Toy Guns.' "There's these characters in the song, and there's a little girl, and she hears her parents fighting, as unfortunately a lot of kids do," "So it's basically her saying, in her words, I wish their words weren't real. I wish they were like little toy guns and they didn't hurt you."

Taylor Swift has had her own exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, and now she'll have an exhibit at the Grammy Museum, in Los Angeles, as well. 'The Taylor Swift Experience' will open on Dec. 13, Swift's 25th birthday, and run through May 10, 2015.

Blake Shelton has released the music video for "Lonely Tonight," featuring a guest spot from Ashley Monroe, a member of Blake's wife Miranda Lambert's Pistol Annies trio. The video features the two pining over lost love. "I could be there in five / One more one last time," Shelton sings on the romantic cut. While Blake and Ashley are not romantically involved, it's not as though they're strangers. Blake officiated the wedding between Monroe and her hubby John Danks in 2013. "Lonely Tonight" is the second single from Blake's latest LP, Bringing Back the Sunshine.

Jake Owen, Cole Swindell & Chase Rice Added To Kenny Chesney's Big Revival Tour! Jake Owen, Cole Swindell and Chase Rice will be joining Kenny Chesney's Big Revival tour in 2015. Clay Walker just finished up his upcoming album, a release he says has been greatly influenced by radio. But being influenced by radio doesn't mean that Walker's sound has changed drastically. He sees country music moving back to its roots in the future, rather than becoming more urban. This will mark the first album from Walker in three years. A release date has not yet been announced.

Jasmine Rae the 2014 CMC Female Australian Artist of the Year has released a brand new single, 'Why'd You Tie The Knot.'
