Darius Rucker is starting off his "True Believers" tour kicking off Jan.29th featuring David Nail and the Eli Young Band.

Tim McGraw has done it again. The singer has scored his 35th No. 1 hit, with his latest single, 'Southern Girl.' The song is the third chart-topping hit from his current 'Two Lanes of Freedom' album.

McGraw is spending a lot of time traveling these days. He is juggling performing his Soul2Soul show alongside his wife Faith Hill at the Venetian in Las Vegas, along with filming his next movie, 'Tomorrowland,' with George Clooney in Vancouver.

BOB'S WEEKLY BLOG SEPTEMBER 10TH 2013 Posted: Tue 10th Sep 2013 - 11:09

At 45 years old & seven studio albums into his country music career, Keith Urban isn’t interested in playing anything safe. The platinum-selling singer turned "American Idol" judge makes career decisions these days by taking a look at his comfort zone & then taking one whopping step outside of it. The strategy applies to how he made his new album, "Fuse," as well as how he approaches his second season in a judge’s seat on Fox’s reality singing competition. Keith Urban is ready to release his next single! The exciting news is that it will be a duet with Miranda Lambert. We Were Us is the second single off Keith's new album.

Neal McCoy is giving a nod to one of his heroes with the release of his latest CD: PRIDE: A Tribute To Charley Pride. Darius Rucker, Trace Adkins & Raul Malo all join McCoy to honor Pride on the 11-song collection that includes "I’m Just Me" (Malo), "Kiss An Angel Good Mornin" (Rucker), "Roll On Mississippi" (Adkins), and "Kaw-Liga." The set is due out Sept. 24. Pride has enjoyed a career that has spanned nearly 50 years & has sold more than 70 million albums. He turns 75 this year, and is touring Australia for the first time in 17 years this November.

Toby Keith is serving up standard & deluxe rounds of his upcoming album Drinks After Work, which is slated for release Oct. 29. Toby Keith has toured extensively in Europe, but he has never performed in Australia, although that will change when he headlines the CMC Rocks the Hunter 2014 festival. Eli Young Band, Kellie Pickler, Craig Campbell & Love & Theft will also be among the acts performing during the three-day festival, which will run from March 14th through the 16th. CMC Rocks the Hunter is the biggest International Country & Roots Festival outside of North America & one of the premiere events on the Australian music calendar.

Taylor Swift has truly arrived - she’ll be in the 2014 edition of Guinness World Records. First, Taylor has the fastest-selling digital single ever. "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" went to #1 on iTunes’ singles chart in 50 minutes back on Aug.14, 2012. Taylor also is the first female solo artist - in any genre - to twice sell more than a million copies of an album in a week. She did that with her last two albums, Speak Now and Red.

The Tamworth Country Music Festival will pay tribute to Australia's King of Country Music, Slim Dusty, in January. Just a few months on from the 10th anniversary of Slim's passing, the Festival will celebrate Slim's contribution to Australian country music & culture through a number of special events.

BOB’S WEEKLY BLOG SEPTEMBER 6TH 2013 Posted: Tue 3rd Sep 2013 - 14:09

The Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum has secured $78 million from private donations as part of its ongoing fundraising campaign to pay for a $100 million expansion, which is expected to be completed early next year.

Big Kenny Alphin of Big & Rich has a new project in the works called Electro Shine, a bulk collaboration that he says is "truly just a continuation of what the Muzik Mafia has always stood for, which is the expansion of music without prejudice." Electro Shine, which he predicts will be on the road this fall, marries elements of country music with reggae, rock, hip hop & electronic dance music for a hybrid style that he's convinced will get people on their feet dancing.

George Strait & the Universal Group label have reached an agreement for George to record five brand-new albums over the next several years. George will retire from touring after his 2014 series of concerts, but he promised to continue recording. So, fans can definitely look forward to more George music in years to come.

Hank Williams, Jr. knows his songs aren't getting much airplay on radio these days, but that fact doesn't concern him. The 64-year-old released his latest album, 2012's 'Old School New Rules' on his own label, Bocephus Records. Williams says that after many years with his longtime label, Curb, he was ready to start making music on his own terms.

For all the Taylor Swift fans out there the songstress will be unveiling a brand new song, 'Sweeter Than Fiction,' next week. The song isn't for Swift's next studio album 'Sweeter Than Fiction,' is actually for a movie called 'One Chance.' The film follows the star of 'Britain's Got Talent' Paul Potts & his inspirational journey from being a Welsh steel mill worker to famed opera singer. One Chance' stars Julie Walters & James Corden have drawn comparisons to 'The Full Monty' and 'Billy Elliot.'

Country music fans are clearly glad to have new Travis Tritt music. The singer, who released his latest album, 'The Calm After. . .' in July, hit the road earlier this year, & has been selling out concerts wherever he goes. Travis played at Toledo's Hollywood Casino on Saturday night (Aug. 24), & drew the largest crowd the outdoor concert venue has ever seen. Tritt does have one new attraction at his shows — his 15-year-old daughter, Tyler Reese, who joins her dad on select shows for the duet, 'Sometimes Love Just Ain't Enough.'

Cassadee Pope has shared another song, '11,' from her upcoming 'Frame by Frame' album. The autobiographical tune, she says, explores one of the most painful parts of her life — her parents' divorce.

Chris Young says his new album, A.M., is basically an ode to having fun. "It's past midnight and it's on," "But there are also songs about matters of the heart, like "Goodbye," which deals with salvaging a relationship in the late night hours.

Nominations have opened for the 2013 Slim Dusty Community Mateship & Youth Awards. The Awards recognise particular individuals who represent the values that Slim lived by... fairness, mateship, family & community along with learning, & who make a positive contribution to society.
